If your Vanguard brokerage account uses VMFXX (Vanguard Federal Money Market Fund) as the settlement fund (which many do), I think the yield is currently higher than 3%. It's not expressed as an APY so I'm not sure how to compare apples to apples. Currently 4.40% on it's 7-day SEC yield.
