Since I normally use Enterprise on business travel, I elected to use them for my rental car on this trip. It's been a long time since I had to sit down with a "representative" and manually fill out my rental contract.Zadar is smaller and weather, especially winds and rain, in these parts can be worse than in Split. Traveling to Plitvice from Zagreb is just about 20-30 minutes longer than from Zadar. You can also do a day trip from Zagreb to coast with a car. If you want access to places, Split on its own would be a better choice than Trogir - yu don't have to stay in the immediate town centre where it's busy and noisy. Plitvice are definitely too far for a day trip.
