Please note while SSE does automatically generate facegen if you just save the file without having to manually find the NPC, if you are editing vanilla NPCs the CK will save the files in the wrong location, resulting in a bug. I'm aware the mod author says once this is done it alters the appearance permanently, but it also says it's possible to revert it by deleting things manually. I was hoping someone could help me figure out hoe to do this as I want to revert Serana to her default appearance.

If I start a new game, the NPC appears correctly edited, exactly as I had planned. But if I load a save of the playthrough I'm currently in, the NPC retains the vanilla appearance with the dark face bug.That said, a dozen isn't too bad. Rather than "copy as override" (which adds dependency), you'll need to use "copy as new records" which will help you a little with your tasks. Alternatively, if you "copy as override," you'll need to replace all references to a master and then clean masters.
