I could see there being merit to allowing more options for resetting the world map. With a couple toggles, you could allow all structures, including play-made, to be reset to original status. With another you could reset all zombie populations. Another could toggle all loot, etc. Pretty sure there's a same topic before. And it's explained there soft reset isn't working at the moment. #1.
