Comparing its recoil to the M4 in local play, a plain L85 felt about the same as a decked-out (compensator and foregrip) M4. The MK17 (SCAR-H) is usually my sort of weapon, but its small magazine and heavy recoil don't feel very rewarded, as its damage never feels like much more than that of the AKM (not a 1-shot killer like the MK14 or SVD).
