RadOnc vs. MedOnc attending life: work/life balance, compensation, etc. I get the sense that the RO residency is generally less intense than the IM route + fellowship, with more outpatient work and not being on call. I have absolutely zero experience in RadOnc so I cannot comment on the content of the post but I can only suggest to take everything you read on SDN with a grain of salt. Imo, SDN is a bit histrionic, but well-intentioned and honest. Reddit is just kind of an offshoot of SDN that might trend slightly younger. Twitter is sunshine and rainbows and being disconnected from reality. I could rant about Rad Onc Twitter for a while, and I'm still new to the field.
