Ecobee add a wire.
My ecobee came with an adapter that allowed me to use one of the existing wires as a c wire. I believe the adapter comes standard with most of their thermostats. It was fairly easy to install. You will need to have some understanding of wiring diagrams so that you can identify the appropriate wire to use.
