But with the 700 I'm wondering if I can save a little. I currently ride a regular Outlander 500 which is just fine for me. But if I take my wife or my son with me then we're just under 450 lbs. I don't care about top end speed but I just want to make sure I have enough power for the hills and the short climbs.

Full disclosure: my only other Can-Am experience is a 570 Outty and Defender 1000. My other machines are a 700 Grizz and Honda Foreman and those two can't come close to the new Outlander. Not in speed but in overall power, comfort, convenience, features and engineering.
