Just because you have a 1200 watt amp on these subs, doesn't mean you are putting out that 1200 watts! I am into car audio comps and have won state champ in my class 3 times, and these subs lasted a while on the Skar 800.1 putting out a clamped 823 watts RMS. I bumped it up to a Skar 1200.1 and the subs didn't last a week.
