T3X Varmint trigger is single-stage. T3X TAC-A1 is two-stage. Pull weights are otherwise pretty close. Otherwise actions are identical, other than the TC A1 puts a little plastic ball on the regular nubby little T3X bolt handle to make it more "tactical."
