Wait for it to quit knocking, then turn the recirculate on and off. If that doesn't do anything, change from dash vent to floor vent. If that doesn't do it, switch your temperatures. This happens when you unlock the car with the key fob or open the car door. If it is on the right side, then you can access it right behind the glove box and replace it.
