So I was on my way to work today and as I slowed down to stop at a red light, My check engine light comes on, the gas pedal stops working, and the steering wheel locks up. At this point the only thing I could do Is hit the brakes, which were about all that worked.New member here. My 2009 JKU will randomly shut down while driving. Little to no warning. It may take 8-10 tries or it may take 20-30 tries before it will restart. It cranks and sounds like it want to start, but doesn't. Then when it does restart, it drives like nothing is wrong. No check engine light comes on. Had the dealer check it, no codes.My stereo is the 8.4" with Navigation and the Alpine Speakers/subwoofer system. After 5 months of ownership with ZERO issues has started shutting off and then restarting itself as if I am turning it and off while in use.
