Fisher plow no power to controller.
7 posts · Joined 2016. #1 · Jan 4, 2021. Hi guys; my 5 yr old V plow recently stopped working with the power light on the controller. flashing. I unplugged the plow and plugged it back in, all was well. Today after 30 mins of plowing it did the same, now it won't work at all. Controller flashes, unsure if this is a code.

Both wires control valves only, so no threat of damage or inoperability (is that word?). While your under there, with the truck on, and the plow connected, make sure there is power on the #8 pin, and ground on the #9 pin.The plow module is responsible for taking signal from controller and providing ground to solenoids to operate and run the plow motor. Edit: actually take them off entirely and then retighten them. Don't look at them and declare them "checked". Chattering on the plow side comes from a low voltage situation.Yes, the plow will operate from the switches without comm to the controller. Remember the controller must be off ( no red light ) for the plow to work at the switches. If you cannot operate the plow from the switches, check to see if the module is sending power to the small wires/posts of the motor relay when using the switches.

23667 posts · Joined 2014. #6 · Jan 3, 2024. Yes but if the controller isn't turning on, then power will never come out of the solenoid. The solenoid won't turn on the plow motor unless the controller calls for it to. But if the controller isn't turning on, then the solenoid will stay off forever.

Thanksgiving we installed all the plows on the trucks. Yesterday we installed the 8.6 SB smarthitch2 on the truck and no movement. My controller does not light up. I have power at the fuse box. I followed the Boss flow chart. I do have power on the black wire in the controller plug. I open up the controller to look inside.

It should come out 12 " maybe from the plug, locating it under the dash. Usually a fuse tap is used to plug it into the fuse panel but it will have an inline fuse. When controller is plugged in to harness I lose 12v at the twin 10a fuses/power into module. so i thought the controller was shorting something out in the module. Checked power/gnd at 6 pin and all good when not connected.swapped plow from 05 to 07 chevy//ultra mount/iso box green sticker. new solenoid. swap seemed pretty easy,but getting no power to controller. power at red wire fuse box tap. 2 fuses have power near iso box in and out. black orange wire that ground system good. hot to batt side of solenoid good. i even grounded solenoid and that changed nothing.So your getting NO SIGNAL from the controller to the solenoid. One little pin needs to be grounded and the other pin is signal power from the controller. Fisher plow relay clicking but no movement. Its not a plow side issue worked fine on one of my other trucks, controller shorted out due to someone installing wrong fuse. Put a working controller in and tested a million things including the power getting to the pump. And still nothing. If the solenoid works, then you've lost power somewhere between the battery and the pump.
