So if your eyeline is 110cm from the floor, and the TV is 80cm high (somewhat accurate for 65” TV), then 70cm on the lower edge of the TV is correct. If your couch is a bit higher and your eyeline is 130cm then the lower edge of your TV should be 90cm from the floor. My general thought is that people want to center their tv on the wall for esthetics and so they end up mounting too high.
