Getting Shield Block against spells and a bonus to saves vs magic is really really strong. That said, Druid Tank is super good atm using the new wooden variant of the sturdy shield and the right spells from Secrets of Magic, like Protector Tree. Unfortunately, the Magus class in general doesn't synergize well with the Bladed Scarf; the melee Dex-based Hybrid Study gives no benefit to a two-handed weapon.
