Lake Taneycomo receives about 700,000 trout annually, most are stocked in summer months because that's when the most fishing pressure occurs. That being said, we've seen more quality trout, both rainbows and browns caught in June and July the last few years. So the answer is summer months, although winter months are good too, IMO.
