I checked the hazards and they wokred fine. All of the other steering column functions (headlights, wipers, etc) worked fine too. Then, after about 20 minutes of driving the turn ...Your dash-mounted headlight switch will have to go, if you want to use the column-mounted switch. 5. You will need to provide the fuel pump relay with another source of switched power, as the Jeep ECM is not providing one now. A wire from a hot wire will work fine to switch the relay over. Install one sleeve around injector # 3, with the slit on the upward facing side of the injector. Install the other sleeve with the slit on the downward facing side of the injector. 3. Personally I believe the 42re is a reliable transmission. It doesn't really seem to have any common issues, maybe bad solenoids. Mine has 231,000, seems fine.
