Now the window operated normally from both the passenger's side button and the driver's side button. Mission accomplished. I chalked it up to a fluke.

I had a similar thing with our Mercedes but that was caused by a low battery and when starting the car the power dropped enough to wipe the radio presets and the window switch memory.
