Project Zomboid's wiki says being bitten has a 96% of being infected, consider yourself dead. Being scratched on the other hand has a 25% chance, 3/4th chance of being fine BUT you can still tell almost instantly if you're infected and I think that's very dumb. Currently you can tell if you're infected, before any symptoms, by trying to heal.

Bites aren't the only way to get the Knox Virus. Scratches and lacerations caused by zombies can infect you too. Scratches with 7% and lacerations with 25%. The Infection, Zombie Infection or oficially known as Knox Infection is a lethal disease contracted only by humans from a zombie attack (can be transmitted by zombie bite, laceration or scratch).
