So when the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) sends a letter congratulating a student on their eligibility for membership, the first instinct is to send in due money without a second thought. NSCS requires a $95 joining fee. It’s a scam. I recently received a neatly packaged letter from The National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I flipped through it, it congratulated me on my academic success and my nomination to their society. Further into the package there was one award that caught my eye, "Induction Recognition Award.
