We always use bottom bouncers. A good rule of thumb is ~1 ounce of weight for every 10-15 ft of water depth. Let 2-3 times the amount of line out as the water is deep. If you used the harnesses that are hooked to a 3-4 ft leader you can just hook the harness directly to the bottom bouncer.
