The Dual Wielder feat lets you dual wield non-light weapons, so you can, for example, dual wield rapiers, instead of short swords or scimitars etc. and also gives you +1 AC when dual wielding. If you want to dual wield, the fighting style is nice to have if you can get it, but I think I'd rather just get more Dex with my ASIs than go for the feat.
