In this article, we provide novel evidence on the extent to which SRI funds: (i) select firms with better E&S behavior and (ii) improve firms’ E&S behavior. In our sample, 100% of SRI funds claim to invest in companies with good E&S performance and 81% also claim to engage portfolio firms to improve their E&S conduct.
