Midway's price isn't bad -- $25.99 as oppposed to $30 at Brownell's -- but it looks to me like the Marlin 707135 on Brownell's list, is exactly the same magazine. Cheaper Than Dirt has those for $14.

marlin 795 cleaning can someone please help with cleaning of the marlin 795. i am new gun owner and purchased the marlin 795 after an extensive internet search. I dont get to shoot very often but hoping to put a few hundred rounds through it soon? a few questions? does the gun need to be cleaned before initial use?

If that is true it is a shame I thought the Marlin bolt actions were solid entry level rifles. I personally prefer them over Remington's entry level bolt actions.
