Thumping sound heard at idle and increases with RPM as you drive. Can hear it easily when standing outside front or when listening near front wheel wells and from inside the truck. I noticed a very slight ticking noise when I test drove it, but it was so slight that I wasn't worried about it. I've put 800 trouble free miles on it in the last two weeks, but the tick gradually got louder over the last two days, and today- got loud enough that I got under the hood to look for what I thought sounded like an exhaust leak.

Sounds like it coming from oil filter location. it does not do it all the time, just kinda comes and goes. I used 10 qts of Rotella T and a ACDelco filter. Some people do find different brand oil seems to quieten the noise some but experimentation is key for some because not all oils act the same in all engines..
