Difference between glock 30 and 30s.
With the SF, aside from the obvious selection of magazines you can use (which applies to both guns as the 30S uses the SF frame), the ability to convert to different calibers is a huge plus. With my 30SF, I've got .45ACP, 10mm, and .40 S&W available with no more than a 10mm conversion barrel and 10mm mags.

The .45 ACP-chambered Glock 30S (i.e., 30 Slim) is a variation of the Glock 30SF (i.e., 30 Short Frame). The only external difference between the two is the thinner Glock 36 slide replacing the 30SF slide. I know the slide is slightly more narrow on the 30s compared to the 30 but the width of both guns is exactly the same according to the Glock specs and the other dimensions are the same.This allowed those that liked the heft of the 30, but with smaller hands, to have the ability to get a better grip and trigger reach. The 30S is a 36 slide on the SF frame. It is lighter than the 30/30SF so you can carry it easier but you may feel more recoil due to the lighter slide. The recoil is manageable.
